Basics

This document covers the basics

Orders

Everything is about orders, Boxture has several different order types, perhaps the most important one is the Sales Order. Sales Orders are shipping inventory to customers of accounts.

An order has at least one order-line. Beneath order-line Boxture has, what we call order-line-items, these track individual items on inventory.

Accounts

Accounts is you and your customers. You can indicate hierarchy by giving an account a parent.

Locations

Any physical or non-physical location (or warehouse) should be setup under Locations. Bin-locations are mandatory (at the moment) and track where inventory is in the location.

Inventory

Shows how much of each product (or packaging-material) you have available. It also tracks inventory-items across it's states. You can exactly see how much inventory you have in each of it's life-cycle.

Inventory item

This is what we call an individual unit. Inventory items can be serialized and optionally serial-tracked (either inbound or outbound).
