Picking
Picking orders work with our mobile App. When you are done picking your first pick list, the system will automatically assign you a pick list which is closest to your current bin-location.
Swiping vs scanning
In many cases swiping the screen will be sufficient to scan inventory out for picking, in some cases it may be required to scan inventory:
- A serial-number was ordered (scan the serial-number)
- A serial-number to determine which inventory item is picked (if mixed (none) serial number registered inventory items located on the same bin)
- The inventory-item you're need has a serial-number (scan the serial-number)
- The inventory-item you need is in a container (scan the container)
- The inventory-item you need has a license-plate (scan the license-plate)
There is a little icon indicating that you may need to scan something.
Hardware
We support two hardware based scanning solutions, both on Android only:
-
Newland MT90, which is a Android based mobile computer with scanner.
This device works out of the box, you can use the scan button (in the handle).
-
KOAMTAC KDC470, which is a handheld bluetooth scanner, which can be paired with handheld devices.
For the KOAMTAC KDC470 it's important it's in SPP (Application Mode). You can switch to this mode using barcodes from your user manual.
The device must be paired prior to starting the mobile app.
Once the device is connected you should see a toast "KOAMTAC device 'KDC470[000000]' connected.
